Hello Scratch fans! This month we catch up on all things from Scratch. Check out our New Products section.
And, we've taken a look at the Deluxe Edition of the Upsetter movie and find it very much to our liking. The Extras on the DVD and the poster with a letter from Lee on the back make it a very appealing product, indeed. Our favorite extra out-take is where Scratch is up in the Swiss mountains somewhere, with lots of feet of snow piled up everywhere, and this snow plow operator is trying to clear the road as Perry is nearby being interviewed. Mr. Perry then proceeds to lay down in the road in the path of the plow and says to the cameraman "Let me know when he's coming" and then jumps up and out of the way just in time, howling and laughing in delight at his "serious joke".
Our other favorite piece is from his tribute to the "Old Days" which we thought was very good. Included in the Deluxe Edition is a poster (on the right). There is no word on when the basic packaged Upsetter Movie DVD will be available from Eight For Eight but you can get them now at theupsettermovie.com

The current way we have our on-site catalog set up will not work for large datasets which is what we want to do here. So our version of the catalog CDs for example, currently implemented as a Javascript sortable table, will be replaced with dynamic content from a back end database server. Our platform tools are XAMP-based - Apache, MySQL and PHP. We're working on this to get something going as soon as possible.
Therefore our catalog here will remain sparse and informational only - while the 848 eBay Catalog and 848 Amazon Catalog remain the way they are. Eventually we want to be able to have buttons for individual items in our catalog here that point over to other sites (mult-channel). In the meantime we are always happy to sell stuff right here.

Upsetter News
Scratch is still touring and you can find his upcoming shows at Songkick's Lee Scratch Perry Upcoming Concerts. We noticed an Upsetters concert in Germany and we wonder who is involved with that (Family Man has to be involved, it seems).
